Earlygame Carat Spending

A subsection of the Beginner's Guide.

There are several things we can spend Carats on. First and foremost, do not spend these Carats before we acquire 200 pulls, or 30,000 Carats. This is because we are guaranteed one copy of the Banner Rate Up at 200 pulls, and the guarantee does not carry over between Banners.

DANGER

Clovers are not meant to be a pity system.

Once we do, it is highly recommended that the pulls are spent on a Support Card Banner. While it may be tempting to pull on a Trainee Banner, not spending early pulls on Support Card Banners will make future Careers very difficult. However, pulling 20 to 30 times on the Trainee Banner to collect the 1 and 2* Trainees is not a bad idea.

Although it is very unlikely that we will get 5 copies of the same SSR Card to MLB it within 200 pulls, we will most likely pull enough SR Cards to MLB a few. While not comparable to MLB SSR Cards, MLB SR Cards will make our early Careers much easier and are importantly superior to low LB SSR Cards.

There are a few options for which Support Card Banner to use our Carats on. The first and easiest option is to spend it immediately on the currently available Banner. While the SSR Card may be suboptimal, we are aiming for the SR Cards. Another option is to wait for the next good Support Card Banner. While we won’t be able to use a good Deck during the time spent waiting, we have a higher chance of obtaining satisfactory results. Here are some upcoming Support Card Banners that may be worth spending these Carats on:

  • Jan. 2026 - Nice Nature / Oguri Cap
  • Jan. 2026 - Matikanefukukitaru / Admire Vega
  • Mar. 2026 - Fine Motion / Kawakami Princess
  • Mar. 2026 - Narita Top Road
  • May 2026 - Mr C.B. / Tokai Teio

3* Trainee Selector

After settling on an account, we also have a Head Start 3* Ticket that allows us to choose from a small pool of 3* Trainees.

The Trainee Selector

The Trainee Selector

First and foremost, before using the selector, finish the Special Missions that give a random 3* Trainee as to not have any overlaps.

It is recommended to choose an Uma that you personally like. If you like none of the options, or are simply looking for a meta pick, Oguri Cap is a fantastic all-rounder pick that will easily clear through early Careers. While it is not recommended to consider PvP content at this point, Maruzensky, Taiki Shuttle, Silence Suzuka, and Mejiro Mcqueen are all fantastic picks for PvP content. Alternatively, waiting until you understand the game better to choose a Trainee is also a viable option.
