Vision Skills Explained

See Skills Explained for other types of skills.

At base, Vision is a 20m long / 11.25m wide cone in front of an Uma. Vision affects picking an overtake target, along with Debuff Conditions on Skills such as All-Seeing Eyes. Vision Skills can extend or shorten the range of Vision by anywhere from 4m to 18m. The width of the cone is not affected by Vision Skills: Umas can lose sight of targets when their Vision increases as the Vision cone narrows.

Vision Skills

Buffs:

  • Studious / The Bigger Picture - Late Surger - Mid-Race
  • Strategist - End Closer - Late-Race
  • [Style] Savvy - Any Style - Start of Race

Debuffs:

  • Smoke Screen / Illusionist - Long Races - Late-Race
  • Disorient / Dazzling Disorientation - Pace Chaser - Late-Race

The only four vision skills worth considering for competitive use on Debuffers are [Style] Savvy, Studious, The Bigger Picture, and Strategist.

[Style] Savvy is a guaranteed proc at the start of the race and increases range by +25%/+50% for single/double circle. Studious and The Bigger Picture have a chance to activate at the end of mid-race and can affect All-Seeing Eyes to give it a larger hitbox of an additional +25%/+75% range. Strategist is only relevant for End Closers, specifically for *Sweep Tosho* as she can only obtain Crusader through inheritance. These sets of vision buffs can also be used to help Late Surgers and End Closers choose Overtake targets further out of their regular Field of View.

The current available Vision debuffs are unique to Pace Chasers and Long races, and do not see much use. Vision Debuffs shorten the Vision range of the targets by -3 to -10. This lowers the FoV of the target and impedes overtake target decision making in the late-race. If an Uma is already in Overtake Mode, it can force her out of it after recalculating Vision. If the Uma does overtake, she is more likely to box herself in.
