Support Card Basics

Support cards are Umamusume that assist the trainee throughout their Career and provide a variety of beneficial effects.

Each Support Card has different events that can randomly show up throughout a Career. These events can provide the trainee with predetermined stats, Skills, and Energy.

The icon shown on a Support Card determines its type, i.e., Speed, Stamina, Power, Guts, Wit, or Pal/Group.

Note: There is a low chance for “roaming” Support Events, i.e., from cards that aren’t in your deck, to randomly appear during your Career!

Reading Support Card Stats

Each Support Card provides a different combination of bonuses & events. For more information on how these affect your training during a Career, please refer to the Career Mechanics section.

Unique effect

Every SR and SSR Support Card has a Unique Effect which generally provides a flat bonus to two effects, although some Support Cards have effects that are truly unique. The first special implementation of this is SSR Pal Sasanami Anshinzawa, increasing her Events’ appearance rates.

Friendship Bonus

Provides a bonus to Friendship Training. Friendship Training is enabled when the Friendship Gauge is at least 80/100, and the card is on the corresponding facility of its type.

Training Effectiveness

Adds a percentage multiplier on any Training that this Support Card lands on.

Mood Effect

Improves the effect of Mood on any Training this Support Card lands on. For example, a Great mood with a 50% Mood Effect bonus would result in a total of additional +30% stats gained instead of the original +20%.

DANGER

Mood effect applies negatively with Bad and Awful moods. w

TIP

Friendship bonus is multiplicative with itself, contrary to other effects, which are additive.

Different types of effects are always multiplicative with each other.

Initial Speed/Stamina/Power/Guts/Wit

Gives a flat amount of stats at the beginning of a Career.

Race Bonus

Improves the Stat and Skill Point amount given at the end of races and Career Events.

Fan Bonus

Improves Fan gain from all races.

Speed/Stamina/Power/Guts/Wit/Skill Point Bonus

Provides a flat bonus to the facility’s base values. Does not increase stats that the facility does not initially provide.

Initial Friendship Gauge

Provides a flat bonus to the Support Card’s Friendship Gauge at the beginning of a Career.

Hint Levels

Increases the Hint Level of a Skill Hint given during a Hint Event.

Hint Frequency

Increases the likelihood of a Hint Event.

Specialty Priority

Improves the likelihood of landing on the facility of its type. The effect is added to the base facility weight of 100.

INFO

Cards have a base Absence weight of 50.

For example:

SSR Kitasan Black gives 116 (Unique Effect Specialty Priority is multiplicative) Specialty Priority at MLB. Every turn she will draw a lot between 5 Training Facilities and a chance of being absent.
Speed Stamina Power Guts Wit AbsenceTOTAL
21610010010010050666
32.4%15%15%15%15%7.5%100%

*these percentages do not add up to 100% due to rounding

So between all possible trainings, Kitasan has a 216/666 or 32.4% chance to show up on Speed, her preferred training type.

Calculating Value of a Training

To calculate the value of a specific training, we have to combine multiple different values together. First, let us look at the relevant values.

Base stat

The base stat value of the training is determined by the facility and any relevant Support Card stat bonuses.

Mood

The current mood value multiplied by the sum of the mood effect as a percentage.

Training Effectiveness

The total training effectiveness.

Number of support cards

The total number of support cards on the training.

Formula for Calculating Training Gain

StatGainFromTraining=((BaseTraining+StatBonus)(1+nFriendshipBonusn1000)(1+BaseMood(1+nMoodEffectn100)(1+nTrainingEffectivenessn100)(1+0.05NumberOfCharacters)(1+UmaGrowth100)
